Analytics & Tracking
The “Old Web” relies on Surveillance. It installs cookies, pixels, and trackers to follow the user around the internet, guessing at their intent. TractStack relies on Listening.
We built a privacy-first analytics engine directly into the core. We don’t just tell you that a user visited a page. We tell you if they Read it, Glossed over it, or Unlocked it.
The Philosophy: The Pulse vs. The Autopsy
Section titled “The Philosophy: The Pulse vs. The Autopsy”Traditional analytics are binary: Did they visit? (Yes/No). Real human behavior is nuanced.
- Google Analytics: Says “1 Page View.”
- TractStack: Says “They scrolled to the Pricing Pane, Read it for 30 seconds, Glossed over the FAQ, and Clicked the ‘Enterprise’ hidden door.”
This is Signal Analytics. It gives you the “Body Language” of your traffic.
Automatic Event Tracking (The Sensors)
Section titled “Automatic Event Tracking (The Sensors)”You don’t need to configure tags. The Adaptive Engine automatically tracks the physics of the visit:
PAGEVIEWED: The user entered the room.ENTERED: The user scrolled to a specific Pane.READ: High Dwell Time. They stopped to listen.GLOSSED: Low Dwell Time. They scanned and kept moving. (This tells you your copy is weak).CLICKED: They interacted with a link or button.WATCHED: They played media.IMPRESSION: They saw a contextual call-to-action (The “Tap on the Shoulder”).
The Dashboard: StoryKeep
Section titled “The Dashboard: StoryKeep”We strip away the vanity metrics. The StoryKeep Dashboard focuses on Intent.
- Anonymous Visitors: The crowd.
- Known Leads: Users who have identified themselves (e.g., via a Belief Widget or Form).
- Belief Profiles: Breakdown of your audience by role (e.g., “30% Developers, 20% CMOs”).
- Pane Performance: Which specific sections of your story are holding attention, and which are causing drop-offs.
Privacy by Design (Zero-Party Data)
Section titled “Privacy by Design (Zero-Party Data)”We do not use Third-Party Cookies. We do not fingerprint users across the web. We rely on Zero-Party Data - information the user voluntarily gives us via Belief Widgets.
- Compliance: GDPR, CCPA, and PECR friendly out of the box.
- The Benefit: You don’t need an ugly “Cookie Consent” banner blocking your beautiful homepage because you aren’t spying on anyone.
Google Analytics Integration (The Security Blanket)
Section titled “Google Analytics Integration (The Security Blanket)”We know that clients are addicted to Google Analytics. It is their security blanket. If you (or your client) insist on using it, TractStack plays nice.
- Event Forwarding: We automatically forward our high-fidelity events (
READ,ENTERED,BELIEF_DECLARED) to GA4. - The Result: You can keep your corporate reporting dashboards, but populate them with actual signal data instead of just “Hits.”
Exporting Leads
Section titled “Exporting Leads”Because we track Beliefs, your export is not just a list of emails. It is a dossier.
- Standard CSV: Email, Name, Date.
- Enriched Data: “User is a Developer, interested in Wholesale, and read the API Docs.”
This allows you to hand your Sales Team a “Warm Lead” that actually means something.
